MELBOURNE, FLA. USSSA is excited to officially announce Scott Armstrong as Director of Education for the soccer organization. Over the past twelve months, Armstrong has been the lead Grassroots Instructor for all U.S. Soccer 7v7, 9v9, 11v11 and D License through USSSA.
“Scott has proven that he has a passion and desire to help coaches learn and advance in their development pathway, he is a true educator” stated Craig Scriven, Vice President of USSSA. “Coaches from across the country have enjoyed working with Scott and now we are excited to have him lead our entire coaching education division.”
In 2019, USSSA held U.S. Soccer Grassroots and D license courses in Florida, Nebraska and Wisconsin for our membership. Plans are in place to continue working in these markets in 2020 while also expanding into other areas of the country.
“In working with USSSA and its member clubs, I have seen the impact we can make at the grassroots level.” Scott Armstrong said. “Our mission is to support the growth and pathways available to coaches throughout the country and this past year, we achieved our goal.”
USSSA is a multisport organization with over 4,000,000 members in sports; soccer, baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, golf, martial arts and seven other sanctioned sports. Scott has obtained his USSF A License and UEFA A License. He is currently the Executive Director for Space Coast United Soccer Club in Melbourne, FL. and will continue to hold these roles as he works with USSSA.
